MTH Tinplate Traditions 10-1198-1 #10 Electric Passenger Ready-To Run Set, Std. Gauge, 2-Tone Blue, ProtoSound 2.0
The 0-4-0 No. 10 (with its e-unit reversing counterpart No. 10E) was the second smallest electric engine made in the heyday of tinplate. The No. 10 was based loosely on the Milwaukee Road EP-2 Electric ("Olympian") engine, which had become famous nationwide when it easily won a tug-of-war against two big steam engines, a 2-6-6-2 and a 2-8-0. The No. 10 was the lower-priced alternative to the No. 380 that had already proved itself a popular model of the Olympian. Cataloged between 1925-1930, the No 10 was available in several brightly enameled colors.
